Information handling

Understand what stays in your browser, what happens when you choose to email us and how to raise a privacy question.

Who is responsible?

Summitcedarwhrl Ltd is responsible for personal information it receives in connection with this website. Contact [email protected] or write to 27 Albion Street, Leeds LS1 5ES, United Kingdom. Company no. 15182463.

The local worksheet

The contact worksheet processes your topic and message in page memory on your device. Its JavaScript does not transmit those entries, place them in browser storage or submit them to a server. Copying places the generated text on your clipboard if your browser allows it. Downloading creates a text file on your device. You control what happens to copied or downloaded text. Browser restoration features may independently retain form entries.

Preferences and technical access

The cookie controls use localStorage to remember a preference. This static site's supplied code contains no analytics, advertising pixels or third-party embeds. The web server necessarily receives technical information when serving a page, such as an IP address, requested resource and browser request headers. Hosting providers may keep operational logs for delivery, security and fault diagnosis. Do not assume that the absence of analytics means that no technical data is processed.

If you contact us by email

If you send an email, we receive your address, message and any attachments you choose to include. We use that information to review and respond to the enquiry, assess corrections and maintain relevant correspondence. Our lawful basis is normally legitimate interests in operating an editorial website and responding to enquiries; legal obligations may also apply. Do not send sensitive personal information or confidential sample records that are unnecessary for your question.

Access, sharing and retention

Information may be handled by service providers supporting hosting, email and security where needed for those functions, or disclosed where required by law. We do not sell personal information. Correspondence should be retained only for as long as needed for its purpose, related editorial records or applicable legal obligations, then deleted or minimised. Service providers' processing locations and safeguards depend on the services used; contact us for information relevant to a specific enquiry.

Your rights

Depending on the circumstances, you may have rights to access, correct, erase or restrict processing of your information, to object to processing, and to data portability. Where processing relies on consent, you may withdraw it without affecting earlier lawful processing. Contact us to exercise a right; we may need proportionate identity verification. You can also complain to the Information Commissioner's Office.

External links and changes

External websites have their own information practices. Following a source link takes you outside this site. We may update this notice when the website's functions or processing change. See Your cookie controls for the storage used by the supplied preference tool.
